Gravel: Feltre – Cima Grappa

For gravel riders, the loop climbing from Feltre up to Cima Grappa is one of the most complete challenges in the area: almost 2,000 metres of ascent between woods, military roads and views stretching from the Dolomites to the plain.

Route data

  • Start/Finish: Feltre (loop)
  • Length: 74.6 km
  • Elevation gain: 1,940 m
  • Surface: mixed, mainly white roads and gravel tracks
  • Difficulty: demanding (expert level)

The route leaves Feltre towards the first ramps of the Vette Feltrine, then heads onto white roads and gravel tracks through beech and fir woods, alternating gentler stretches with demanding kicks. Past the middle section, the route joins the historic military roads leading to Cima Grappa, built during the First World War, on a technical surface that calls for suitable tyres and good bike handling. The descent towards Feltre offers glimpses over the Valbelluna and a chance to recover before the return. It is an itinerary designed for gravel riders with solid physical and technical preparation.
