Kristin Harila in Chies d’Alpago: “Vittoria e tragedia: 14 ottomila in 92 giorni”
On Saturday 24 October 2026, at 5:30 pm, Norwegian mountaineer Kristin Harila comes to the Polifunzionale di San Martino in Chies d’Alpago. It is the headline evening of “Chies e le sue montagne” (Chies and its mountains), the series the Comitato Alpago 2 Ruote & Solidarietà has been running for twenty-five editions.
The talk
In 2023 Harila climbed all 14 peaks above eight thousand metres in 92 days, a record. In her talk “Vittoria e tragedia” (Victory and tragedy) she tells the story of the feat, the death of Sherpa Tenjen “Lama” on Shishapangma and the criticism of her climbing style, from the use of helicopters and oxygen to the K2 case. After the talk there is a food stand with music.
