Following the iron trail: a Museo Ladin Fodom hike in Livinallongo

For centuries, high above Livinallongo, iron was mined and worked. On Saturday 31 October the Museo Ladin Fodom (the local Ladin museum) leads a hike in the footsteps of that labour, from the Middle Ages to the present day: the route runs from Soraruaz to the Vallazza and on to Livinè, roughly 7.5 kilometres with 300 metres of elevation gain, returning by taxi.

Bring a packed lunch; you’ll be back by early afternoon. This is the second and final outing of the year.

• Meeting point: the square in Pieve di Livinallongo
• Fee: 15 euros for adults; free for children and residents of the Municipality of Livinallongo
