Mele a Mel 2026 — the market fair in the old town of Mel

For three days, from 9 to 11 October 2026, the old town of Mel — in the municipality of Borgo Valbelluna — turns into an open-air market fair. Mele a Mel is one of the most recognisable autumn events in the Valbelluna: the village fills with stalls between piazza Papa Luciani and the surrounding streets, with the apple as the thread running through it.

What to expect

The organisers announce more than a hundred exhibitors, selected one by one: farmers, craftspeople and local businesses. Alongside the stalls comes the Zumela, the traditional cake made with local produce and apple jam, which the Pro Loco offers as something to take home.

  • Friday 9 October: opening ceremony at 4 pm, in the Guarnieri courtyard (no. 6);
  • Saturday 10 October: market fair from 9 am to 10 pm;
  • Sunday 11 October: market fair from 9 am to 8 pm.

Getting to Mel

Mel is reached from the valley road on the left bank of the Piave, between Belluno and Feltre. During the fair the organisers set aside parking areas for visitors.
