Cosmo in Fermento 2026: stars, music and wine above Belluno

An evening that brings together three things rarely found in the same place: the starry sky above the Valbelluna, a live quadraphonic sound performance, and the wines of the producers who accompanied the Ardo in Fermento festival through the season. Cosmo in Fermento takes place at Baita Tovena, above Bolzano Bellunese.

What happens

The Gruppo Astrofili Belluno (Belluno amateur astronomers) guides the observation of the night sky: in early September, away from town lights, the Milky Way is still clearly visible on clear nights. The observation is accompanied by a live quadraphonic sound performance by Il Terzo Mondo Studio — four channels arranged around the audience, not a concert facing a stage. The evening closes with a tasting of selected wines from the festival producers.

A note about the venue

Some online calendars list Rifugio 7° Alpini as the venue. The event is held at Baita Tovena, in Bolzano Bellunese: these are two different places, far apart — the mountain hut lies much higher up the Val d’Ardo. Anyone trusting an automatic map risks ending up in the wrong place.

Before you go

You will be outdoors after dark: bring a jacket even if the day has been warm, and a torch for the way back.
