A new idea is born for our city centre.
This page of ours was born from an idea of our friend Raffaele Addamiano, who in the early months of 2021 had proposed to the Municipality of Belluno that something be created to beautify the many empty shop windows in the centre.
With his own personal funds, Addamiano had a hundred or so posters printed featuring a beautiful photo of Piazza dei Martiri, and donated them to the Municipality of Belluno, which made them available to shopkeepers who wanted to brighten up their empty shop window.
In autumn 2021, the centre of Belluno was then vandalised by the foolishness of someone who calls herself an “artist” (a certain Freak of Nature, real name Federica Agnoletto), who in one night of vandalism defaced dozens of shop windows in the city centre — both empty and occupied — forcing owners and managers to pick up buckets and sponges to remove the paint from the windows.
We firmly believe that our splendid city centre should be enhanced, not devastated, by this kind of behaviour, and that it can become an opportunity to raise greater awareness of our local tourist resources, for the benefit of both residents and the tourists who visit Belluno.
So, shortly, and with the collaboration of the owners and managers of the shops in the centre, simple INFO POINTS will be created (which we have chosen to call THE CORNERS OF BELLUNO), featuring a series of signs displayed in the shop windows that, through a link to our pages (via appropriate QR codes readable by smartphone), will give information and interesting facts to visitors and tourists passing through that street of the city.
